Have you noticed the hottest trend in color for fall?

Ombré (Pronounced “ohm-bre”) is a hair coloring technique where the roots are a darker shade then the rest of the hair. The darker color fades into lighter and brighter highlights on the mid-shaft and ends.

There are a number of celebs rocking the look as of late. The technique looks tremendous on those with long, dark locks, but even the girls with fairer tresses can give it a try. Plus, you don’t need great lengths, shorter hair can also work the Ombré technique.

The great advantage to Ombré hair is, if you color or highlight your hair, maintenance is much easier because your root line won’t be obvious.

Although Ombré can be subtle or bold, it should not leave you looking like your roots have grown out. We here at Pure Salon recommend “going as close to your natural hair color as possible near your roots, then gradually go lighter down the hair shaft.”
